Guess I wasn’t the only one who thought the opening song to Frozen had nothing to do with the movie at all.

*Of course, we know it’s possible to find women’s jeans with real pockets, but it shouldn’t be as ridiculously hard as it is, should it?
Don’t worry ladies, the men’s section have tight jeans in the meantime :P
Turning Analog Signals into Digital Signals
Ever wondered how an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) works? Of course you do or at least you should cause it’s the main way your computers sense the real world!
This guy shows how to use binary search to figure out an input’s voltage. This sampling technique is the simplest and easiest to understand…if you have an intimate knowledge of binary search, which is essentially a game of hot or cold.
This gal shows a simplified version of a more complex sampling strategy, called detla-sigma modulation, of which I have no idea of how it work, but good god I want to know. So far it looks like it turns an analog wave into a series of pulses. I guess the timing between the pulses results in the voltage measuring in digital form?
If anyone knows other good learning resources that explain how ADCs work, in layman’s terms, I’d be ever grateful :D
Hold on to your dicks everyone, I’m hooking up a raspberry pi to an arduino
